Joia Tours provides an inside look at the culture and natural beauty
of Brazil. Our trips are fun as well as educational allowing you, the
visitor, to participate in the culture of the people and to walk away
with a meaningful understanding of this joyful nation. Proceeds from
these tours will benefit the groups that we visit, as well as our own
project, the Joia Project
Brazil is a country blessed with beautiful landscapes, pristine
beaches, tropical rainforests, mountains, and historic colonial
towns...... and you will experience all of this. But, this alone is now what makes Brazil so special. Brazil’s greatest asset is the vibrant culture, and you will get
to see and take part in it each day. In Brazil, culture is a part of everyday life and it is used to give
identity and hope to many of its citizens.
Our trips are hosted in the beautiful cocoa coast of Brazil, and we will also spend a good amount of our time enjoying
the incredible beaches, walking in the Atlantic Rainforest, and relaxing into the peaceful
rhythm of Bahia. We will also visit a cocoa farm in Bahia to learn
about cocoa processing, the making of chocolate, and the role that
cocoa trees play in the conservation of the remaining Atlantic Rainforest.
